The Good, The Bad And The Secret At Bisa Kdei's 'Breakthrough Album Launch

It's almost Bisa Kdei season, you can feel it in the air.
After a very stormy years back, Bisa Kdei's been using 2015 to showcase himself in a better light. Along the way, the highlife superstar and his team have been hinting that new music was on its way. Regarding the follow up to his 2013 'Thanks Giving' album , which was revealed song by song until its accompanying compilation was released at the end of the year December 21st, the singer's remained mostly mum on the topic.
Throughout the year, Bisa Kdei's focused on re-establishing himself as humble and a mature highlife artist. And he being the only artist now who have brought back high-life in a very different dynamic way.
Recently, Black Legendary Music frontman Bisa Kdei officially launched his 2nd studio album "Breathrough" last Friday night December 18 2015 at the Gold Coast Restaurant and Bar located inside Airport West.
With a track list of 10 hiplife/afropop jam, on it with his two hit songs 'Mansa' and 'Brother Brother' and also featured hiplife/rap legend Obrafour, Dancehall Legend Samini and Best female Vocal singer Efya. Most of all the songs on the album was produced by himself, only the Mansa which was produced by Legendary sound engineer Kaywa.

Before the album was officially going to be launch, he said "It wasn't easy recording Mansa & now am proud to say it is one of the biggest songs in Ghana"
He added that "Brother Brother is the fusion of old highlife and the new highlife trend and the album is to encourage each and everyone of us to do more"
He again thanked the people of Ghana and his fans for accepting his style and type of music he does and also supporting him in his career. He Promised to groove his fans with good highlife songs next year.
Lots of music lovers and some celebrities graced the occasion, the likes of Kdei's lover girl Becca, Kumawood actress Benedicta Gaffah, Nana Ama Mcbrown and her fiance Maxwell, Dj Mensah, Akua China, Okyeame Quophi and his lovely wife and TV Personality Stacy Amoateng, Ameyaw Debrah and other dignitaries.
Bisa thrilled his guests and fans with songs of his, performed live with the King of contemporary highlife “Ohia Y3 Ya Band.” lead by Kwame Yeboah.
Bisa Kdei's "Mansa" song has been a hit song and recently the music video of the song set a Youtube record, being the only Ghanaian music video to gain over 1.3 million views with 2-3 months. Also his second hit song off the his "Breakthrough" album "Brother Brother" winning the most search song on Google Engine Search this year.

THE GOOD:
The King of contemporary highlife “Ohia Y3 Ya Band.” lead by Kwame Yeboah gave a great live performance. For this time Bisa Kdei was point with his performance last night as he performed with live band, because he had been receiving a lot of criticisms on his performances on stage for being 'boring' when performing.

THE BAD
For this i blame the organizers for not fulfilling their time. Because they said the program will recommence at exactly 6pm but they started it around 9pm which some of the audience were complaining about the late start of the launch.

THE SECRET
Now am beginning to believe its not just a rumor but the two superstars are dating. After Bisa Kdei's Performance, Becca held his hand a told him backstage, i fellowed them saw the two supperstars hugging and k*ssing. Again Bisa Kdei excoted his lover girl by fondling her as* into her car which was parked somewhere in the dark, saw him k*ssing and caressing the beautiful songstress, Becca, although both have claimed they are not dating but more times both have spotted together in many occasions.
Maybe you wouldn't believe me on less i have a photo to prove before, but i was sacked by her PA not to take any pictures again. It was sad I wasnt having any 'Anas' spirit in me then. But a fellow blogger can confirm am telling the truth, because we were all there together.
So still are the superstars dating or they very good friends and so far that’s what they are?

Ella Knox ft. Calitroit - Swing Swing (Video)

Ella Knox is about to break the internet. The upcoming pop sensation just dropped the visual for her pop/hip-hop crossover hit "Swing Swing" featuring Calitroit. The video features everything from snakes, spiders, to Ella swinging all around the set in some type of sex swing wearing lingerie.

Ella, born Melanie Louise Stringer, grew up on the impoverished streets of Manchester, New Hampshire. Born to a single mother, who barely escaped her kidnapping while carrying the child. By her high school graduation, Ella was approached by a spiteful source who revealed that the father she’d known growing up was not her biological parent. Feeling even more betrayed, after remaining loyal to a mother who had emptied her childhood bank savings and piled her and brother in debt, Ella saved some money, bought a beat-up Honda and took off to find her biological father.

Zip-tying her bumper onto her Honda for the 3,000 mile ride, Ella made it to the West Coast and found herself submerged in the trudges of the Hollywood Music scene. There, Ella was discovered by manager and visionary Lika Tatsushima, who saw the potential and heart of a young girl’s tragedy.

In 2016, Audio Technica will be featuring Ella and her music in their world-wide advertising campaign promoting their new production line. This commercial campaign will serve as a platform for her discovery, Ella’s story and her music will soon spread throughout the world

Lvin Red - On Top Of The World (Feat. Quayba)‏

Lvin Red formerly known as RedMic teams up with one of Ghana’s finest singers Quayba to bring you his 4th single titled “On Top Of The World” which is a Pop record produced by NeL Magnum off his upcoming mixtape “The Drop Off”.

This sound is very different from the ones we often hear around with the blend of Rap and Pop with a bit rock and roll vibe, making this sound very interesting.
In “On Top Of The World” he had lyrics like ‘’When you got a passion, been on it for soo long, and everything around you starts to go wrong.. Got to keep your head up, got to move along, get your mind up boy get strong’’

Lvin Red seems to be carving his own niche and not following the normal trend of Hip-Hop acts.
Enjoy and don’t forget to share, comments are welcome.

X.O Senavoe - Ghost (Prod. By Gafacci)‏

From the opening words of GHOST, you know this is an X.O Senavoe you’ve never heard before. “Drowning all my sorrows in this vodka, having a ball, wondering when you’ll grow one/I been hearing that you f****rs wanna show out, oh boy, click click on my shot gun”. If you think that was an incredible start, you should wait ’til the end. GHOST is everything you wanted X.O to be – fearless, bravado-spilling, multi-bar-lacing, and all with effortless delivery, as he lays claim to being one of the greatest African rappers… ever.

Among many things, GHOST is X.O’s indictment of the idea that Africans need to rap in a particular way, or language or tongue, to be considered among the “greatest”. His ability to do so seamlessly is matched by the irony he points out in his lyrics: “Sorry, I forgot, I’m from Africa right, so I gotta spit something we relate to, like how, if I rap in English, even if, I’m the greatest ever – they no go rate you”.

Produced by Gafacci, GHOST is laced on a hard-hitting symphony of bass, 808s, synths, and high-hats which provide the perfect canvass for X.O’s re-emergence. The hook, which is in Twi and translates to “one who’s ghost refuses to agree that you’re dead” is simply eery, and befits the song title.

But the ante is upped when X.O, who represented Nigeria in the BET Cypher, flexes his linguistic muscle rapping in Fante, and both Asante and Akuapem Twi for the first time ever. And throughout it all, “El Presidente” is pulling no punches with this one. No more Mister Nice Guy.

After “Oluwadele” featuring Efya, and Coptic’s “Real Niggaz” along with Sarkodie last year, Mr. Senavoe went ghost on us, reportedly to dabble in other interests like Law. But if this is, as he says, just the start to a cascade of new music coming our way, then the absence was well worth the wait.

“I got a Barretta for all Barrettis to my Empire, Loaded Luxes for these Calicoes/All first verse, but you ‘gon get this work’ in a landslide, when I pull up like your pantyhose”. Smack!
No long yarning. Yo, this is lit!

Werd – Salt n Sauce (Video)

It’s been three years since Werd released his debut album Untitled Scot. However this year on he returns with another solo effort. Featuring production collaborations with various talented people throughout Scotland, the album is both varied in sound and concepts. The 13 track LP is released on both digital and limited edition digipack format via his own self-run publishing S.O.S. based in Edinburgh.

Vaguely following on from the conceptual mixtape Patient Empowerment, Werd speaks from a confused and secluded place in his own mind. His brain cells, or mental cell, depending on listener’s interpretation. Having been left alone and ‘alienated’ from both the world and hip-hop scene, we are given an honest and often critical opinion of the human race and music industry. This is no longer about local hip-hop, pushing the music or gaining exposure. Werd’s new release is a wild mix of emotion based on frustration with our current system of life on a global scale.
Featuring production from: Bigg Taj, Righteous Fist, Konchis, Madman Speakz, Dixie, C. Boyd, Sea-Bass, Tam O'Shatner, Lorne MacDougall, Big Shamu, Loonatic Beats & Dale A Thomson. Album contains no additional vocal features.
