Los Angeles, CA. (May 20, 2015) – East Coast rap star Joyner Lucas releases his highly anticipated new visual for his buzzed about single “Ross Capicchioni,” based on the true story of 17-year-old Ross Capicchioni surviving being shot multiple times in a rural area of Detroit back on June 6, 2007. The gripping video depicts the chilling chain of events leading up to Capicchioni’s near fatal shooting by someone he called a friend who used him as bait for a local gang initiation.
Lucas’ no
nonsense lyrics paired with a graphic reenactment of what happened that day in
2007, make for a seriously impactful, yet creative offering. Lucas manages to keep viewers on the edge of
their seats in this daring move to revisit a real life tragedy turned miracle.
“Ross
Capicchioni” is the latest record from Joyner’s debut project Along
Came Joyner featuring previously released singles “Look Around Me,”
“Don’t Shoot,” and “Half N**ger.”
